Elgin 3514E Bedside Alarm Clock Review

I love the ease withwhich I can set the time, set the alarm and view it in the dark, however, it does not stand on its tri leg configuration very easily. I am constantly knocking it over and althought ThaT in itself does not render the alarm inoperable, it does make it difficult to orient and turn off, in the wee hours of the morning upon waking to its nicely sounding alarm.
Its quiet and I would buy it again but the leg thing is annoying.

Pick Your Color LCD Alarm Clock Review

This clock is everything I was looking for (well, almost - it would be nice if it was atomic as well). It is small and slim, barely takes any space by the bed). The display is large enough to be seen from across the room. Very simple with one alarm (which I rarely would use). It is easy to set (the only drawback is that the numbers only go one way but there is a separate set for hour and minute so it makes it easier). It displays in 12/24 hour mode which is really nice and you can see the seconds going by (which to me is a BIG plus). The colors are very nice (yes, I like to play with this feature) and they set like a puzzle - there are three little buttons that you push in various ways and they determine the color of the display). At night, it is not too bright and you can see the display easily. The date and day feature is helpful as well. Have you ever woken up on a Saturday or Sunday thinking it's a work day? One look at the clock and you won't be confused anymore :) Overall, I am very pleased with this clock and would recommend it for someone who likes simplicity.

Analog Alarm Clock Review

This clock requires an electrical outlet for normal operation. The battery is intended only for brief power outages.
It is significantly more bulky than I anticipated: 4.5 inches high, 4 inches wide, 2.5 inches thick.
Shell is grey ("silver") plastic. Made in China for Michigan-based Geneva Clock Co.
If you are looking for a compact or travel alarm clock, this will not be your first choice.

Travel Alarm Clock Review

This appears to be a very cheaply made clock. The cover for the battery broke when first opened, and had to be taped on. The clock takes a "D" size battery, not AA as stated in the description. The optional full time light was good, as was the ascending alarm. Setting time was very easy.

Timex Men's Classic Black Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch #T27791 Review

Overall this watch looks great, is easy to set, and feels nicely made. I give it a 4/5 rating. The square face gives it a classic look, and yet the design is quite contemporary at the same time. I wear it to work and it feels comfortable and looks professional.

Why not a 5/5? The watch has condensation inside the face glass after only one short spell in the pool one afternoon. My fault, and normally I would have taken the watch off, but I wasn't actually swimming - I was holding my 2 year old daughter up in the water in the shallow end. So disregard the 50 meter water resistant rating, it means nothing real.

This is an update to a previous review where I gave the watch at 2/5. What was wrong before? The instructions for adjusting the bracelet length are incorrect, so previously I only gave this a 2 as I was left with a dangling bracelet of a watch and no way to adjust it. However, I emailed Timex and they sent me the correct and helpful instructions so I was able to adjust the length.

ELGIN TRAVEL ALARM CLOCK Review

I was a bit disappointed with the company's quality control. I brought two clocks and the alarm on one did not work. Plus the spring on the snooze/light button was a bit soft compared to the first. Rather than return the defective product, I opened it up and found a broken black speaker wire and one of the two compression spring for the snooze button floating around inside. After resoldering the black wire and reassembling correctly, the product works as good as the first.

Overall, once fixed, I am happy with this product. As a travel alarm clock, it has all the features that I need. The progressive alarm is a nice touch.

Electric Alarm Clock with Selectable Display Color Review

I like:
- the alarm. it goes beep, beep beep. not the annoying long shrill beeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
-the size. very small, fits anywhere. When I took it out of the box I thought it would make a good travel alarm (with the AAA battery)
-display. I put the display at no colors so its blank. By the way the color shown is a sticker. The numbers are actually deeper in.

The color thing isn't too interesting after a few days. The colors are red, green, blue, yellow (red + green), blue green, purple (red + blue), bluish white (red + green + blue). The darkest color option is red.

Not so good stuff:
-There is a lid covering the buttons. I'm not having problems with it yet,but I'm pretty sure its gonna come off one day. Add its loose so it makes a little jangling sound
-The slider mode button is hard to slide
-The buttons not so easy to press, speeds up as you hold it down,so I have to stop about ten numbers ahead to slow down and press it one by one.

Its a nice alarm clock. nothing too special.

Timex Women's Marathon Radio Control Atomic Watch #T5G341 Review

It took me awhile to find a watch with the specifications that I wanted: It had to be a woman's watch with atomic time, and it could not cost too much. After searching all over the web, I found this one right at home here on Amazon. To be honest, it was not my first choice because I saw pictures of other watches that seemed to look nicer, and I was afraid that this one would be too big for my wife's wrist. But, after rejecting everything else that I found (for various reasons, usually price), this was the default.

When my wife got it for Mother's Day--yeah, yeah, I know, but my son helped to pay!--she was very pleasantly surprised. For one thing, it doesn't seem too big for her, yet the numbers and letters on the face are very easy to read. Better yet, the watch lights up with Indiglo. I guess I've been out of the know concerning changes to the technology, but this is not the Indiglo of yesteryear. Now when you push the illumination button, the letters and numbers light up, not the whole face. This is a very nice feature! My wife says that several of her coworkers have asked where to get this watch. They like the easy-to-read display.

You can't go wrong with this watch. What could be easier? It updates the time for you (daily? Continuously? I don't know) and there are no mechanical parts to break down. It looks nicer on the wrist than the picture of it seems to suggest.

The only drawback that I can think of is that the wrist band is Velcro. After a while it might start getting gunked up with lint and not work so well, but right now, it is great because my wife can adjust it to the right size.

My wife thinks that it is a drawback that in some places the watch doesn't seem to get reception for the automatic time updates. In our bedroom, it doesn't seem to receive the signals, but in our bathroom it does. There is an indicator on the watch to show whether there is reception. I don't think of this as a drawback. After all, how many times a day does your watch need to be updated? Or even, in a week? Eventually, it will receive, and this is by no means a "problem" that only this watch has. I own an older watch from a different manufacturer that doesn't always receive the signal either. But it usually does when it needs to, and it is extremely convenient. All my life, my watches have never had the right date on them, but now--with atomic updates--I can always be sure that the date is right too now.

Very much recommended.

Timex Women's Classic Cavatina Expansion Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch #T21882 Review

My wrist is small for a woman 5'9" tall, but I was still concerned with the other reviews saying that the band was for a really tiny wrist and that the band pinched. I was pleased to find the watch as attractive as it showed in the photos and looks very nice on my wrist...and there is plenty of room, I could probably even have a link or two removed, but I like the looser fit. It keeps excellent time and is easy to read--even for 57 year old eyes! I am very happy with it.

Timex TX5170 Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with Indoor Hygrometer and Clock Review

The first place we used this thermometer, it worked great. We had it on a table near a north-facing window. We passed the wire out the window and attached it to the side of our building with the probe at the end sticking out a few inches from the wall. Temperatures were always accurate, checked with other thermometers inside and out. Humidity always seemed reasonably accurate.

We recently moved to a new south-facing apartment. It turns out that if either the base or the probe is in the sun, it will read higher than the ambient temperature. Maybe the reading is correct--the ambient temperature in the sun a few inches from the side of the building is higher than elsewhere--but that's not really useful for us. We're having trouble finding a way to wire the outside probe to have it in the shade.

The lesson is this: if you have a window where you can pass the wire through and have the end in the shade, this should work great. If not, get a wireless version.

Timex Men's Classic Square Brown Leather Strap Watch #T29371 Review

You can't beat a Timex, especially at this price. I have had this watch for only a short time but it appears that it will be very durable. Two small caveats; the stitching on the band began to unravel on the second day and the date can be hard to read when the minute hand sweeps past. The band was probably a fluke, and the return was going to be more trouble than just repairing the band my self, and you get used to peeking at the date quickly.

Timex Men's Classic Square Black Leather StrapWatch #T29391 Review

I love retro style watches and this one fits the bill perfectly. I bought it and the one with the white face and brown strap, so I can wear the one that suits my clothing and mood. It looks great and I get a lot of complments with whichever watch I'm wearing. It's price is easy on the pocket book, too.

Timex Ironman T5F001 Unisex 100-Lap Target Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch Review

I have been using this watch for about a year, and am about to buy a new watch even though this one still works. It has been very frustrating for me as a triathlete. In terms of functionality, the heart rate monitor works fine, although I have gotten EXTREMELY discrepant readings from time to time. Sometimes well below my actual HR, other times well above my MAX heart rate. But those issues have been fairly limited. What really makes this watch almost useless to me is that I use it for triathlon training, and the stop button constantly gets pushed as I'm shifting my grip on my bike. All of the sudden, I will look down at my watch only to realize it has not been on for 5-10 minutes. I suppose I could switch wrists, but still, I find that the buttons (even during everyday use) get pushed much too often. My guess is the buttons are big and easy to push as an intended benefit to the user, but to me, they are TOO big. If it weren't for this flaw (or if I didn't cycle so much), this would not be an issue.
